The Gay Beggars are always open for new members! Whether you are an aspiring actress, musician, stage hand, costume designer, social media expert, or just about anything else, we would be happy to have you on board for our next production. The Beggars are closely affiliated with the English seminar, but we are open to other students and non-students as well.
As of 2022, the Beggars are an official association (“Verein”), which you can read more about here. However, you don’t need to be a member of the association to be “one of us”! You can take part in (or even launch) new productions without being part of the association, it’s completely optional. If you want to be part of the Beggars, you can simply sign up for our mailing list below to be notified next time we launch a new production. Also check the “current production” page to see if we are currently planning a new production. We have a completely open stucture, meaning productions aren’t launched “by committee” but rather by anyone from our community who wants to direct. So if you’re interested in kicking off your own production with the Beggars, drop us a line!
